Atlantic is one of the world’s largest producers of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) with an established reputation as a safe and reliable operator.
In 2018 Atlantic re-launched its Apprenticeship Programme as the Maintenance Internship Programme with the aim of providing young people within Trinidad and Tobago with an opportunity to develop the knowledge and competence to become Mechanical and Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians within the Energy Sector.
The Maintenance Internship programme is a two year programme that transitions interns from school into a structured work environment that will help them build the skills to function effectively within the Energy Sector.
Knowledge and Experience
Applicants to this programme should have pursued a National Engineering Technician Diploma (NETD) from the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) in one of the following areas:
Applicants to the programme must also have no more than two years working experience in the related field.
The experiences and challenges of the Atlantic Apprenticeship Programme have left a significant mark on the blueprints of my professional and personal life. I had the chance to work with a dynamic and result-oriented team, whose members imparted a lot of knowledge to me. The Apprenticeship Programme was instrumental in developing some of my core values like perseverance, commitment, dedication and most importantly, teamwork.
