LNG production company Atlantic hosted a visiting delegation of senior executives from Malaysian state-owned energy company Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS) alongside The Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, Stuart Young and other Ministry representatives on Tuesday as part of a two-day knowledge sharing energy sector visit to Trinidad and Tobago.
The delegation received an overview of Atlantic’s business and processing operations before proceeding on a plant tour. The visit and surrounding discussions provided an opportunity for Atlantic to highlight its world class facilities.
Underscoring the importance of Atlantic and the value our operations bring, Minister of Energy and Energy Industries Stuart Young, said, “I am particularly proud of Atlantic LNG, its management, staff, and facilities as all are world class. This was recognized by our guests from Petronas who are a leader in LNG globally. Atlantic is critical to Trinidad & Tobago and we have worked hard to ensure its future viability and success.”
In receiving the delegation, Atlantic CEO Ron Adams echoed Minister Young’s sentiments saying, “It was a pleasure to connect with experienced peers in the global LNG industry and we look forward to deepening relationships with PETRONAS.”
Petronas COO Adnan Zainol Abidin highlighted previous learning exchanges between members of his team and Atlantic while expressing his thanks to Minister Young and CEO Ron Adams for their time and hospitality.
